Going Against the G.R.AI.N: Towards an Evangelical Statement on the Ethics of Emerging Technologies

This was a paper I presented in 2017 at the annual meeting of the International Society of Christian Apologetics. In concert with it, I launched http://acceptable.tech, a website-forum that stood for: A Conservative Colloquy on the Ethics and Philosophies of Technological Applications to form Biblical and EvangelicaL Guidelines. G.R.AI.N. stands for Genetics, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Nanotechology. I was hoping to start a movement to bring Christian philosophers and ethicists together to discuss what is going on and perhaps even try to produce a helpful statement of affirmation and denials. The website and forum were retired a little over a year later due to a total lack of interest.
